What the widget sends
Using Leafyrics does not require an account. The desktop application sends the title and artist of the track you are playing, plus your chosen translation language, so the server can return matching lyrics. It also sends an anonymous identifier generated on first launch, which exists only to apply usage limits — it is not linked to you and does not persist across a reinstall.
What an account adds
Signing in is optional and unlocks bookmarks and lyric contributions. To be written: what is stored for Google, Apple, and email sign-in; how long it is kept; how to export or delete it; who processes it.
